How we can help
- Planned on-site health surveillance clinics
- Audiometry / hearing surveillance
- Spirometry / lung function surveillance
- Skin surveillance
- Recall and escalation pathways
- Clear fitness / outcome communication within agreed protocols
What health surveillance can include
Depending on the workplace risk assessment and identified exposure, surveillance may include hearing surveillance (audiometry), respiratory surveillance (spirometry), skin surveillance and other agreed checks within the competence and scope of the service.
A structured process
We work with the employer to confirm the population requiring surveillance, the relevant hazard, testing requirements, clinic arrangements, record handling and recall process. Results are reviewed against defined criteria and escalated appropriately where clinical review is indicated.
Employer responsibilities
Health surveillance is most effective when it sits within a wider risk-management process. Employers remain responsible for suitable risk assessment and control of exposure; occupational health surveillance supports that process by monitoring relevant health outcomes.
